About Our Minister

Rev. Toby Keva became our Minister in Rockingham in 2011. In 2005, he finished his Bachelor Degree in Theology in Indonesia in Duta Wacana Christian University. In 2009, he finished the Formation Programme of the Uniting Church in Australia in Perth Theological Hall. He was ordained in the Uniting Church in Australia in 2011 and was inducted into our congregation in the same year.

Growing up in Indonesia, his favourite sport is badminton (which he plays regularly). But, since he came to Australia, he fell in love with cricket and a fan of the Australian cricket team. He is never into the Australian Football League however. Although, occasionally, he follows the local teams (Fremantle Dockers and West Coast Eagles) to tease their supporters in our congregation!

In 2017, his wife, Rita Sihombing, and his son, Abinaya (Abia) Keva (both pictured), joined him in Australia. As such, besides preaching, leading worship, and visiting people, his roles now include changing nappies, feeding, and taking his son to toddler times in the local libraries.

When you see him, ask about his middle name and see whether you can spell or pronounce it correctly!
