What is the Craft Group?
It is a group of people both ladies and men, church members and non members, who each week meet in the church hall to have a chat, have a laugh, share ideas and news and have morning tea. Oh-- we do some craft as well! Not everyone comes each week but whenever they can they do and a $2 contribution is made to a general fund. This money is used to buy items for craft, donations to various charities and at the end of the year to help out with a Christmas get together.
We knit for prem babies and newborns at Rockingham hospital as well as making Trauma Teddies for the hospital.
We knit clothes and rugs for “Mission without Borders” which distribute them to countries in Europe.
We make “Cross in my Pockets” for sale through the group and in the OP Shop with proceeds going to Youth Care
We also work on making things to sell at the church fete at the end of the year.
The craft group meet each Wednesday Morning from 10am till 12noon, all year except January and December.
